by: rhi Other Thoughts: to dy: i also got the "COM surrogate" error each time i acess a folder with a audio/video file on it.. what i did was to uninstall other installed codecs in my computer including vista codec package, then reinstall VCP again. after reinstallation, everything works fine again.. "Baby daddy" by: Mwanafunzi Other Thoughts: I wanted this application because of the following reasons; real media files and lack of space for a dozen unnecessary media players. I must say that it has worked beautifuly in my vista system and i recommend to anyone looking for a small and complete solution for a majority of media formats out there.
