For a free ripper, and format converter, this program works remarkably well. The author keeps it updated. Another reviewer mentioned CDEX, which hasn't been updated since 2007! Some virus programs detect a lot of CD ripper's as a type of virus, but in reality it is not.

BonkEncoder encode very well, although it is demanding with the processor. There are three things of it that we love: the easiness of labeling the tracks, the wide configuration possibilities that it offers for each codec and - how well!- that can take it in the USB key.

A friend gave me a CD of M4a stuff that I couldn't put onto my MP3 player, so this did amazingly weel at converting. perfect for any audio converting, tried it with other files too.
