I use this software regularly to transcode a multitude of different file formats to MPEG4. It hasn´t failed me yet. It´s easy to use and free to boot. You can´t beat a combination like that.

To which I say, he is completely wrong. If he is getting such pop-ups it will be from malware on his PC and not from this site. I have been a frequent visitor for years and found Freewarefiles.com to be completely trustworthy.

after reading the good reviews, i thought i'd give a go too.
well, that 'go' went nowhere. it simply did not work. i tried converting some files that i had converted successfully using other freewares, but to no avail.
regardless of the different settings i had tried, nothing worked.
