Pros: It converts everything for free. Doen't degrade video quality. Cons: You can't add your own subtitles to the video, and you can't render mkv subtitles either, you can only remove them. "My favorite transcoder"

XMedia Recode 3.0.3.0
Pros: Very compact, portable working without admin rights, stable (XP and Vista tested with destination format MP4 H.264-AVC, AAC) Cons: protocol function could be improved
Other Thoughts: 'nice-to-have':
- save jobs in text file
Bug currently in 3.0.3.0 (09/2011): Crop (schneiden) not really performed during encoding.
I suppose there's no transcoder software without any problems - 2 or 3 different products should be available on the machine.
