| | | | "Best DAW ever!"
I've tried all sorts of DAW's and for many years, Acid Pro 6 was my main program for creating my music; but it's huge, takes forever to load, and requires so much CPU that my USB powered recording hardware would often crash due to a lack of resources. This freeware version of Reaper is every bit as powerful as the updated demo; V3.06. If you're familiar with Acid, you will find the transition to be an effortless --- except Reaper 0.99 is WAY faster than other behemoth programs like Acid Pro. Thank you Reaper! by: Deppe Owner | 5 | 2009-08-03 | | | | "REAPER"
REAPER 3.0 was released yesterday with many improvements, bug fixes and new features. Although it's shareware now, the "demo" version is uncrippled, not time limited, without any copy protection and completely portable. by: Tunafish | 5 | 2009-05-23 | | | | "Only 1.08 MB"
And all that in only 1.08 MB file? Amazing! by: Marco | 5 | 2009-05-20 | | | | "REAPER 0.99"
Great sequencer for free, but you can use the newer (commercial) versions without any restrictions (only nag screen here & there). by: E-Coli | 5 | 2009-03-15 | | | | "Full featured DAW for free"
REAPER v2.44 is out - but not freeware anymore (although you can "try" the unregistered version as long as you want without any restrictions).
Although v0.99, the last freeware version, is not as polished as v2.44, it's still a full featured, easy to use DAW with full VST/i support for FREE, and it's from the same person (Justin Frankel) who made WINAMP. I give it 5/5. by: Tunafish | 5 | 2008-08-03 | | | |
