"Excellent!"
Goodbye Winamp! Welcome AIMP! I just switched to AIMP and I love it! This is the best audio player software out there! Much better than Winamp. Very low on ressources, fast, flexible, excellent media library, comes with tools (audio conversion, audio recording) and looks very good. Winamp is sluggish and bloated. AIMP is fast and powerful. That's why I switched. No better audio player than AIMP! Strongly recommended! by: Freestuff-Lover | 5 | 2009-08-21 |

This software is very good in terms of feature and performance. I've been using it for more than a year already. Just wonder why after so many build and beta releases since 2.60, why they can't release a final version. by: cyberrover | 5 | 2009-08-10 |

"Gapless Playback Works"
Try with the beta version 2.6 and you'll have gapless playback. Probably you wrongly downloaded the still current stable version 2.51 which indeed does not support gapless playback. However, 2.6 does for sure. I just tried and it works. by: Jim Bob, the Noob | 5 | 2009-07-29 |

"No, it's not gapless playback"
@ richps
I tried what you suggested. But it turns out the previoius poster was right that AIMP does not support gapless playback. There is still a fracture of a second of a gap. Try it with a mix album and you'll see what I mean. by: Freelover | 2 | 2009-07-26 |

"Aimp really can do gapless playback"
For those who said that aimp cannot do gapless playback was (lazy enough) never even bother to observe the option (Ctrl + P). You just have to unmark the cross fade & use fading effect in the playback section , simple isn't it .. by: richps | 5 | 2009-07-16 |

"No gapless playback"
This is the major problem with AIMP: It cannot do gapless playback. So if you like to listen to mix albums and stuff, then AIMP isn't an option. Better use Winamp or Foobar. They both can do gapless playback. by: Mr. Gap | 1 | 2009-07-15 |

The player is good, you just dont know nothing about computers, so just shut up! AIMP2 is excellent, just this version is a bit buggy because it's a beta. by: HAHA Sandman | 5 | 2009-06-14 |

"cannot play gapless"
This player is not able to play gapless. So you have pauses between your tracks. Therefore it's a useless player if you listen to mix albums or audio books. Switched to foobar now. Looks humble, but is fast and needs very little ressources. Use UI Columns plugin to brush it up and adjust to your needs. by: Doktor Fotze | 1 | 2009-05-17 |

"RAR file"
To previous reviewer:
It's a .rar file. You need to use a compression program that supports .rar files such as IZarc:

tried opening, tried saving and opening. Says Windows cannot open file. What sort of a program is it likely to be if they can't make the download work? by: | 1 | 2009-05-01 |
