I have used this player for years. My computer plays media through two 45 inch screens and a multi channel sound system in my media room and by choice through out my house. I use Jet Audio exclusively for doing this. I have NEVER had a problem with the program or the player. Someone made a comment of 'yuck' re: the silver bar skin at the screens bottom, I find this skin to be least intrusive and I use it all the time.

This version looks nothing like the screenshot-it has a smaller interface plus a bar that goes above the taskbar-yuk! Plus upon uninstall it changed .dat files to windows media-try it if you want but PLEASE make a restore point first!!Version 6 is fine.

best free player you can hope to find. for the last reviewer who didnt like the look of this player...download some different skins. This player way outdoes winamp in all ways exept the number of skins available although I will not knock winamp. I have used this player for almost 4 years now

"Installed and uninstalled within one hour"
JetAudio Basic v7.0.1 appeared to have a lot of potential according to the reviews and program info. Unfortunately, the installed program (XP Pro) did not live up to expectations. The GUI is absolutely horrible, both from a visualization and functionality perspective. Changing the color schemes did nothing to improve the situation. The audio player appeared to function well and the sound was excellent (did not test on video and CD), but I could not get past the very poor GUI. I'll stay with VUPlayer and Winamp.

The best media player on the planet.
It has the capability to play virtually every codec there is. The media manager (or album manager) is not as good as iTunes, but the sound quality and the features such as video and audio conversion is definately a plus!
