I agree ! If I can find software that performs the same function without NET I always take that rout. Just off the top of my head I can think of a number of media players that perform admirably without NET... Media Player Classic, The KMplayer, VLC

To each their own, and i have been using Kantaris as my own. I like the new look, the visuals are awesome. I also enjoy the movie trailers, Great media player.

it is the worst media player i have ever uesd because to run this player u have to install NET FRAMEWORK which will slow down your computer by creating lots of garbage files in your computer which will be impossible to delete fully all files after installing this player , GUYS donot use this flop KANTARIS MEDIA PLAYER instead install VLC media player which is far more better than this and you donot have to install any NET FRAMEWORK for that.Forget this KANTARIS MEDIA PLAYER and instead use VLC MEDIA PLAYER or KMPLAYER .

"This is the BEST!!!"
Believe me,I've tried them all-SpiderPlayer,Media Player,Ultra Player,Zoom Player,MusicJukebox,VLC player,etc-have tried them all.As a music player it ROCKS-the visuals are totally awesome (sounds good too) and for videos it's also top-notch.The viewer is larger than most others and has less distortion.I rate this a 5 and unless I have major problems down the line (which I don't expect)this is going to be my one & only video & audio player.

This app needs network 2.0 "garbage" installed for it to work! Doesn't bother telling you this beforehand. I had to download it and then try to install it before it told me i needed it. Thanks for wasting my time! I refuse to put that "garbage" network 2.0 on my pc!!!!!!!!!

"Great Work"
I have yet to find a video file that this program will not play. Takes next to no memory to run with a few megs of disk space. Great for laptops.

I used VLC player before I switched to SMPlayer. I am always open to some new software. So I tried Kantaris Player too. But it's really not worth to install, because several things are missing and it is not good in usability. I stick with SMPlayer.

After some time, I tried the program again. It crashed when I entered its embedded trailers and later again, when I was watching a mkv file. And it still doesn´t support styled ssa subtitles. Its based on VLC FYI. Still not good.

This very quick-starting app puts the very heavy, control-taking, takes forever to open, windows Media Player, iTunes, Real Player and most other media players to shame! This app even plays FLV (YouTube) files. Easy to create playlists and even listen to your favorite radio station music (in stereo)and even make a playlist of your favorite radio music. KLM player is another great player but this player, for speed and easy navagation, beats them all. It also allows you to install the program, make a copy of the program folder and all its files, uninstall the original folder, re-name the folder copy to Kantaris Media Player and you have a "portable" media player to put on a UBS flash drive and take it with you. You'll absolutely love it!
