Very big output file (pdf=15mb->rtf=129mb) with low quality result. Prefer Free PDF to Word Converter 4.2. by: aku46 | 3 | 2009-08-29 | | | | "Works but not good"
Does not do a complete conversion Tect is misspl;aced and Photos have bars through it. Much better program is
Free PDF to Word Converter by: PKAY | 2 | 2009-08-28 | | | | "Nice"
it converted the pdf, with fotos, and opened "wordpad" (it comes with "Windows" SO).
After that, I saved the result text showed in "wordpad". It saved the text in "rtf" by default.
Later, I opened that file in "openOffice" and I saved in "doc" or other open extension.
I must say that the aplication recognized portuguese acentuation of vogals.
Not great but nice. It works for me.
Don't try it in password protected pdf files, it will not work.
Excuse my english. by: LostCauses | 3 | 2009-07-22 | | | | "Confused"
I tried to convert a PDF to Word which is not installed on my machine as I use OpenOffice. The converter does something and then starts WordPad which shows an empty text area and the filename with the extension PDF in the title bar. I cannot find a DOC file.
This may be a shortcoming on my end but the prereqs should mention any limitations.
I hope it works the next time.

Installed ok but when trying to convert a simple pdf file to Word 2007 it locked Word and failed completely. A lot more work needed to run on modern pc's with good software installed. by: Tall53 | 1 | 2009-03-02 | | | | "for English characters only"
This piece of freeware is good as it captures text and graphics, although somewhat displaced from their original positions. Conversion is fast, and the resulting file size is about twice that of the orginal pdf. These are the good points. The bad point about this software is that all Chinese text disappear. It seems that this software can only handle single-byte characters. by: Henry | 2 | 2008-12-05 | | | | "aeh"
It might have worked well for simple text, but it doesn't work too well when there are multiple columns by: bob00 | 2 | 2008-09-10 | | | | "tu"

It's the only converter that does what it claims to do. Thanks. by: Marcelle | 5 | 2008-07-05 | | | | "Doesn't Work !"
All went well until after showing 100% conversion I got a messgae about a C++ error and that the program is closing in an unexpected way. Also tried it on 2 other computers. Same result. by: Brunosec | 1 | 2008-06-03 | | | | "We gave it a rate of 5 in the scale of 1 to 10."
Definitively, this promising freeware that needs of previously installed
Office, should improve very much in that it makes. If it is
a simple pdf it has the same virtue of Some PDF 2 TXT more the incentive of the format and the fonts, but, in the moment to face, for example, and just as we saw it in the tests, a file of 1.76 MB, a pdf version 1.6, corresponding to a magazine type Newsweek digitized, the result was more than disappointing: the rtf that gave us was almost bigger 45 times that the original file and the melánge of texts and images were, simply, horrible. Wanting to solve the problem, we remit ourselves to its configuration panel and, alas! , it did not work in anything. We gave it a rate of 5 in the scale of 1 to 10.

Previous version seems to have been removed from this site, just as well for it didn't work. This one did indeed work, at least in my first try a few moments ago. Saved the file to rtf not doc format but with photos and text in proper layout, so I'm pleased so far. by: Just Me | 5 | 2008-05-16 | | | |
