"Nothing to make me want to switch" by: Cornflower Flashnote Portable 4.2 Pros: Portable Backup via Escape key Does what it claims Cons: 2 mB Multiple files required (decreases portability) Other Thoughts: I weigh every tool in this genre for number of files, portability, and reliance on dlls or other dependencies. My standard so far is MemPad by Horst Schaeffer (http://home.mnet-online.de/horst.muc/wmem.htm) which is a single file, no dll dependence, 139K in size, and does the same things as flashnote portable, plus encryption, diary mode, and customizable launch apps.
