"RIP OFF"

I purchased this software for $2,500 around 3 months ago for a corporate license.
I was told this was a lifetime license and that I would never have to but the product again.
After my initial purchase I had a few issues with the software such as speed and the file transfer utility did not work as desired. At that point I contacted the company and expressed my issues and they said that there will be some updates that will fix my stated problems.
3 months after my purchase I start noticing that I can’t connect to about 20 of my 60 computers I manage. I keep getting an error that say the version is not compatible. So it would seem there were some updates that updated my version to a new version that I didn’t have.
So I called TV and they informed me that I must now pay another $1000 to use the newest version they have released. So then I had to go back to all the computer manually and remove tv 7 and install the version I got ripped off for…
TV called me on the phone and tried to sell me the newest version and when I proceeded to tell him that what that I was no longer going to use the product he began to yell at me and make it clear how I was stupid for looking at other products that were cheaper like logmein and that their product was better ect.
This company is a scam and a rip off. There are so many better alternatives out there like logmein.
We are now using logmein and I can’t say that I have never been happier.
It was just crazy that the company would that their customers that way after they have spent thousands of dollars with them. I will never use their products again and I will never recommend them to any of my friends…
TRUST ME… DON’T MAKE THE SAME MISTAKE I MADE!!!

"Great Freeware, Just Ok Paid Software"

Pros: Great freeware to help family and friends. Cons: Not flexible or completely configurable as a paid software. Too many major updates requiring you to have to completely re-buy each time. Other Thoughts: This is a great freeware software however the (paid version which I paid for) lacks several options. I use this in an enterprise environment and we need it to work all the time, we need the software to never be disabled and completely transparent to the end-user. Problems with the software 1) Cannot hide the tray Icon: This is part of the transparency, we need it so the users does not see the software running and try to disable it or unload it or break it etc. 2) Cannot hide the tasks running: Again users find this running and they think we are checking up on them when we are not but then disable it and the helpdesk cannot help them because they have ended the task or stopped it in some way. Then IT is in trouble with the CIO when it was not our fault (the users can do no wrong!!!, yeah right). This is especially true when they are VIPs and they complain and complain to the CIO that the helpdesk could not remotely access their machine. 3) Have the partner ID stored in the registry so that it can be deleted: This needs to be done so that you can delete the ID and clone the machine, for mass deployments, then the first time the machine connects via TeamViewer it generates the ID. 4) You have to completely re-buy the software with each major release: We bought 3, then 4, then 5, then 6, and now 7. They release a new version every year it is extremely hard to keep up with the updates over thousands of machines. We worked with TeamViewer customer support and tech support and they are completely unwilling to make any changes or help with this major short coming with this software. "Easiest way to maintain my girlfriend's comp from a distance"

Other Thoughts: So many times my girlfriend needed support with her computer when I wasn't around. Since we're using Teamviewer it is a piece of cake to fix her PC even from distance. So easy to use – both just start Teamviewer and then I can login with the random password given by her Teamviewer running. Then I see her desktop on mine and can do all the stuff remotely. "My Girlfriend says Thank You!"

Other Thoughts: 'Thank you!' says my girlfriend to the developers. Because with TeamViewer it is no problem that I can maintain her laptop remotely. She is working abroad at the moment and so I can't be phyiscally there when there are problems on her machine. But no problem with TeamViewer! "Maintenance of my friend's comp"

Other Thoughts: A good friend of mine is living 800 miles away. If he got computer problems, I'm the one he wants help from. Thanks to TeamViewer there are no tedious phone calls anymore to explain him what he's got to do next, which button to click, etc. Just both of us install TeamViewer and I can do the job straight out by seeing his desktop on my screen. TeamViewer is so easy, even for people with almost no computer knowledge.
