'Thank you!' says my girlfriend to the developers. Because with TeamViewer it is no problem that I can maintain her laptop remotely. She is working abroad at the moment and so I can't be phyiscally there when there are problems on her machine. But no problem with TeamViewer! It's so easy to use!

A good friend of mine is living 800 miles away. If he got computer problems, I'm the one he wants help from. Thanks to TeamViewer there are no tedious phone calls anymore to explain him what he's got to do next, which button to click, etc. Just both of us install TeamViewer and I can do the job straight out by seeing his desktop on my screen. TeamViewer is so easy, even for people with almost no computer knowledge. And the best is that it's free, without any spyware or adware.

This program is simply great!.
I tested alternatives as ultravnc and tightvnc. They worked, but needing port forwarding in the router over the internet to work and had no encryption.
I never got the encryption plugin in ultravnc to work.
After seeing how simple yet effective TeamViewer worked, I wondered why other developers make their programs so limited and complicated to use.
You can even connect to IP adresses in TeamViewer (This is not obvious in the user interface). Just go to Extra->Options->General and enable LAN connections. Both computers must also be running the full version of TeamViewer.
A bad point is that it leaves junk in your temp directory, if you choose to run it without installing it.
But it is still the best remote desktop program I have ever used. Recommended!
