"Why bother?" by: i81b4u Other Thoughts: I'm sure it's pretty good at what it's designed to do but why bother? If I want to shut down my PC fast I just press and hold the power button without any risk of data loss or corruption. 3 seconds later it turns off. It's that simple. "Great When Needed" by: YALIN Other Thoughts: OK, Programmer explains the use of this program as on need basis if you haven't read. There is nothing out there that is as powerfull as this software when it comes to shutdown utilities and it carries it's own purpose. Keep up the good work. "Skip It" by: x Other Thoughts: Technically, this program can't cause "disk corruption", but it could cause corrupt data. Using this software is about equivalent to purposely inducing a blue-screen crash (BSOD). As you know, typically nothing about Windows itself gets screwed up after a BSOD, but unsaved data gets lost, and some data files can be truncated (and thus corrupted). "Be Warned" by: Other Thoughts: Warning: Superfast Shutdown is extremely powerful! Use at your own risk! Although it has never been reported, regular usage could possibly cause disk corruption. This is taken from the site. This is what I thought as the program doesnt take the time to close operations and processes properly. If youve had Windows 98 (I currently use XP) you realize before you shutdown a message appears and says "It is now safe to turn off your computer".
