"Best I've Used"
Compared 6+ defrag programs (Auslogic, Defraggler, Ultra, etc.) and this one is
far superior in speed and efficiency.

"Speeds up your machine"
I never thought I would get very excited over a defragmenting program, but this one deserves it. I use the latest version and it allows you the option of "Fast Optimize" or 'Deep Optimize." I have to tell you, I have seen a NOTICEABLE performance boost ever since I did the "Deep Optimize." Holy cow. It arranged all my frequently-used files next to each other and now my PC is working faster than ever before. by: dropmeoff | 5 | 2009-04-10 |

"Seems to do a good job"
Tried Smart Defrag, although I normally use JK Defrag, but I like to give other defraggers a trial & I must say it seems to do a very good job of defragging. it even has a background defragger if you want to use it. Nice free defragger IMHO. by: deebee | 5 | 2008-11-21 |

"Good"
It will only run as administrator. There has to be some problem with the program. Further-more the second last version was much faster and easy to use. by: Pat, | 2 | 2008-08-16 |

"Beta 6.00"
For the amount of info on my HD and given how I use and maintain it, I opted out of its auto Smart Defrag.
Others will have to attest to its functionality, usefulness and what settings employed.
Its Analyze / Defrag is excellent.
Its Defrag / Optimize is very good but could use slight refining as it is the most complex, intricate feature.
As is the case, the more defraged your disk, the more likely one will have to run consecutive scans, each of lessening effect , until nothing will change (until, perhaps, after a reboot).
4 or 4.5 rating. by: mweizor | 4 | 2008-08-05 |

"OK So Far"
I must withdraw my previous comment regarding Avast reporting a virus during setup, it must have been a false positive as I have installed ver.6.0 with no problems. Seems to be running smoothly so far. by: Tall53 | 5 | 2008-08-04 |

"VIRUS WARNING!"
Not sure why but Avast! is reporting this file to contain a virus. If anyone knows why I would appreciate a posting here. by: Tall53 | 2 | 2008-06-13 |

"5.01 Bug in removable disk"
I have it installed on a Win 2K Pro machine that has an internal IDE Iomega 250 meg zip drive. As soon as it starts, I get "No Disk" exceptions constantly. The reason is because I don't have a disk inserted into the Zip drive, so IOBIT tries to defrag a drive that isn't there. It's a simple fix (similar to what Ultra Defrag does), by checking for disk drive door closed and disk present/inserted otherwise skip this drive during the startup phase.
I'll wait for 5.0.2 by: mikesw | 3 | 2008-04-25 |

"Beta 5.01"
Beta 5.01 (Apr 20, 2008)
+ Added "Turn off computer after defragment" option
* Fixed compatible bugs for Win2000
* Fixed general bugs
On this 2kpro: It indeed now works !
It does claim to work with 2k/Xp/and Vista (apparently with the 64 bit, as a poster attests) --- Freewarefiles posts it as only for 2000/Xp.
Very nice look and ease of use.
Installed size is about 2.62mb.
Uses about 8.3mb RAM and 3.2mb virtual memory.
It's Analyze and Defrag are accurate and fast... However, its Defrag&Optimize seems to do nothing in actual effect --- it definitely doesn't compress free space.
Its Smart/background Defrag I have to try over more time. by: mweizer | 3 | 2008-04-17 |
