 | "Slow, gets stuck" Incredibly slow. While I was testing it on badly fragmented disks, it would get stuck defragging 2 files. The speed is what made me delete it. The build in defragger in Windows is faster!

 | "v- 1.02.085 Final" To just defrag, use the File tab --- selecting all that it finds is the same, in principle, to the basic defrag that many other defraggers only do.
To both defrag AND compact freespaces, use the Drive 'C' tab.
This does take longer because to 'get rid of freespaces' between blocks of data means moving or filling those 'dead' (usually white) areas.
It's just not the fit but also the selection of data to put there--- the logic.
Both applications work very well.
Excellent improvements.

 | "v- 1.01.073 beta" Unless the 'Defrag Freespace and Defrag Freespace(allow degragmentation)'options (under ACTION> Advanced>) are for individual files, I don't know what they do. I couldn't tell effective difference from just running Analyze then Defrag.
ACTION> Defrag Drive both defrags files then compacts freespace --- this feature has much improved!! and is the biggest deal to me as its Analyzer and Defrag are both already fast accurate and effective in a very small package.
Needs a Help text file
Though the second popup indicates that it has finished, the first popup has an active icon still swirling and the graphics indicate yellow and green squares (files being read, files being written) still displayed. This is only a peripheral observation that has no affect on ultimate performance.

 | "Very Good" Tried and tested for one hour.
These people really no the meaning of updating, WOW from v1.01.068 to v1.01.073 things have been much improved. Analyzing and defragmenting is more faster and defrag free space now completes to 100%.
Also defrag free space is now a separate option which is good. Under action there is advanced which includes Check Drive for Errors, Defrag Freespace, Defrag Freespace(allow fragmentation).
With continuing improvement this program will become just as popular as CCleaner. Looks like I will be giving my current disk defrag program that I have been using the flick.

 | "Defraggler 1.01.068 Beta" Pretty good for defragmenting what you want i.e defrag file, defrag folder, you have to search for it.
I just use the default, press analyse and defrag all files and here it also allows you to check or uncheck. The scan results are fast.
If you defrag drive the first 100% is fine, then when it starts to defrag free space for me it does not go passed 5% it hangs seems to be doing nothing and never finishes so I just stop.
The funny thing also you start loosing free space from the original figure instead of gaining a bit. I don't no if
it is a bug or what but you no the program will be much improved over time with newer versions.

 | "v- 1.01.068" I ran Defraggler offline, connected to ISP, then: Why is Defraggler trying to modify my parent application explorer.exe when I run an application that connects to the internet? --- Defrggler doesn't have an update checker and even still why do anything that way?
Stop adding stuff and keep working on the most difficult feature, free space defragging/compressing drive algorithm.

 | "Not Bad Overall." The program works well in XP, however I've had issues with it in Vista.

 | "Better & Better!!!" These people really do make each release better, more fat free, & somehow improve already good products!
Just what I like! Simple, free, works, & portable!!! By works, I mean, this company usually makes their product to support 95, 98, me, xp, 2000, 2003 server....
Good, cause now I don't have to look up a separate tool for each os I have to fix for other people!

 | "v- 1.01.058 beta" On 2kpro.. the compressing function (they call it "defragging free space") is excellently improved [on tool bar: ACTION> DEFRAG DRIVE].
Also. note the right-click options on a single entry in postscan display (not a new feature but handy).
These people truly know the meaning of update improvements.
It still needs some polish as to its fragmentation count as I still have to run it twice to get the true defrag success count.

 | "1.01.044 beta" Reasonable progress...The Analyzer is way faster than the previous release (and as accurate) and the graphics , a bit better.
It actually defrags better than the fragments-per-entry displays (until the "no file defragmented" is shown). Run it twice in a row, always Analyze/Defrag, Analyze/Defrag.
It's not a compressing type defragger-- though this can be done using the toolbar's Action>defrag drive , but this feature really needs redeveloping.
Some bugs, sure.. but it's fast, accurate in the right places, small and not a bad secondary.
