Pros: This is by far the best free partition tool I have used. I have tried quite a few and there is always a glitch, catch or problem. This does what is says, does it easily and anyone can use with fearing the loss of data. As a simple partition tool it's ok
Easy on the eye GUI
Can clone a partition
Con's
Make no mistake it suffers the same issues Partition magic does including errors
Cloning a partition to another that you want to boot requires either an upgrade to the pro version to get the ability to create a recovery cd or you'll need some sort of free bootable partition manager from cd that can make the newly cloned drive active,without it you'll get a "no disk error" & the OS will not boot
Summary:
It's fairly basic,certain parts of the program appear unrefined almost like it's in beta,that said it can work for simple tasks,personally tho there are better free fully functional apps out there,in all fairness you'd need to get a free fully functioning trial version of the pro copy to really get a feel for it,i suspect the pro version has support for linux Was this review helpful? 59 out of 140 users found this review helpful.
