Pros: lightweight bootable CD with some useful tools for HDD maintenance, etc. Cons: GUI still not too perfect, but for system tools it's ok, 'cause we just need it works fine in doing it's job. Other Thoughts: If you can't use it please don't rate it, live CD means you have to set up your bios to boot up from Optical Drive (CD/DVD). Don't forget that dude.

"Poor ISO."

Pros: none Cons: maybe think it can work Other Thoughts: Downloaded this program a few times thinking it may work. NOT Used it on a Dell Laptop Inspiron 1525 for it had a major hard drive failure. "Rendered hard drive un-bootable"

Pros: Linux Live boot CD. Interface is nice. May be a great utility to delete partitions, or allow backup of files to USB device. Cons: Tried to remove 2nd partition, and make the boot (main) partition the full 320mb. Took a very, very, long time. When finished, hard drive was no longer bootable. "Great but not for WinME"

Pros: This is a great partitioning tool for Windows XP & 7.. Resize and add up to 4 partitions for each hard drive. Very easy to use, loads pretty fast into system memory. Great hardware detection. Cons: Really it sets up vFAT16 and vFat32 partitions. Had a lot of trouble trying to set up an older 700MHz computer with Windows ME (for older gaming). It really didn't like the vFAT32 partition, had to wipe and have the system format it instead. Other Thoughts: Super easy to use, great for setting up multi-boot systems. "Works Like Magic."

Other Thoughts: This is the best freeware hard drive patitioning tool around... With this bootable cd you don't need anything else, it is pretty easy to use to create up to 4 partitions per hard drive... It is always a great idea to have a system partition and storeage partitions, this way you don't lose anything if you have to wipe and reload the system drive..

"Not too good."

Other Thoughts: Good idea. But, this tool is not too good. I've try Parted Magic to create EXT2 partition. But I've got abnormaly with EXT2 partition that I've been created by Parted Magic. I've got error message when copying large file (2 GB or more) on it partition.
If you want to use this tool to create EXT2 partition, you must reformat it manually with mkfs/mksf.ext2 in command line.
And don't use this tool to create primary NTFS partition to use as Windows XP installation. It can't bootable. Maybe it's bug.Was this review helpful? 125 out of 297 users found this review helpful.

"Great! Excellent tool to have."

Other Thoughts: Parted Magic is an excellent partitioning and repair "Live CD" to have. With this burned to a cd you will never need another hard drive partitioning utility again. This does it all and in a nice easy to understand way. You can also move files from a jacked up partition to a dvd,cd,thumb drive or another hard drive before having to wipe your system.
