  • Add shortcuts to the files and folders you use most to the launch screen

Make Droid Commander your 'goto' app to manage files

Install Droid Commander on your Android device and launch the app to its 'single-tap operation' user interface.

Your various folders are displayed together with an 'Add Favorite' button. To add a favorite folder, just tap the icon, press and hold for the circle menu to display: drag and drop the folder onto the plus sign. 'File Manager,' 'File Transfer,' and 'Trash' buttons are located at the bottom of the screen and there's also a menu button at the top left.

Open the File Manager to browse down the list and locate a required folder. Tap to open the folder. Files are listed complete with last used date and size. Tap and hold a file or folder and the circle action menu will display with buttons to Copy, Cut, Share, Delete and Edit. You can change the display and order of your files by using the icon at the top right of the screen to open the context menu.

To manage files on the clipboard check the boxes of, for instance, a file or files and a folder into which you want to add the file(s). You can left swipe a file to remove a file from your selection. Press and hold one of them for the circle menu to display and drag and drop them onto the Copy icon to place them on the clipboard. An icon displays at the bottom right of the screen. Tap and hold it to access the clipboard.

Tap the Transfer Files icon at the bottom of the screen to transfer files and tap the 'Start' button to launch the server. Meanwhile, open Explorer on your PC and enter the device's FTP address to establish a connection. Once connected, transfer the file(s).

A powerful yet easy to use file management tool, Droid Commander requires Android 4.2 and up, and networked devices for file transfer.
