Would you like to customize the details of the movies in your collection? Baka Tagger will help you add or edit the movie tags with great ease. The simple tool is designed to set covers and tags for MP4 files. It doesn't extract existing tags and covers.

Using Baka Tagger

Given that Baka Tagger was a portable application, we simply saved it to our preferred destination and created its shortcut on the desktop for faster access. We did not really mind the fact that we could not adjust the size of the medium application window because it gave us ready access to all the features we could change. We didn't have to deal with multiple interfaces.

The application featured a simple and clean graphical user interface that allowed us to enter several details easily. The first place allowed us to browse for and select the video file whose details we wanted to customize. We then browsed for and selected the picture we wanted to use for the cover art. The program was compatible with JPG and PNG image files.

The tags we could add or edit included title, author, genre, year, audio source and video source. We could also add a comment that gave more explanations about the video for even better identification. A check box on the lower part of the application window gave us the option to remove tags that we left blank. On the right side of the application interface was a preview window that allowed us to see how the cover art would look.

Baka Tagger had a batch function that gave us the opportunity to select multiple video files. However, we could only select one image file, which was applied to all the selected videos. That meant the function was more relevant when we were dealing with related videos.

Once we had set everything as we wanted, we clicked the 'Apply' button, and the program took just a few seconds to execute the task. It displayed a pop-up message telling us about the completion.

While there are various programs you can use to edit tags and change covert arts for your videos, many of them require a rather steep learning curve. However, Baka Tagger makes it easy to accomplish the tasks even if you've never done them before. Its batch operation allows you to work on several video files simultaneously. You change everything in the same user interface.
