This CheatBook edition includes cheats for 549 PC Games, 43 Console Games, and 13 walkthroughs.

As the summer hits its high point, so too does the usual summer drought of new games. Gamers are getting better at their favorites, while a number of undiscovered gems are finally getting the attention that they deserve. While all of this is going on, plenty of those who are going through their own libraries are looking for new ways to enjoy their favorite games. This is where CheatBook comes in with its August issue, giving those who love games a chance to experience them in the way they want - and for many, that means through using various cheats.

August is generally a weird issue for CheatBook, but that's because it's usually a weird month for gaming in general. The big hit games of the year typically come out around October, but this year compounds that with a slowed pandemic schedule and the looming promise of new game consoles just around the corner. As such, CheatBook is put in the interesting position of trying to keep up with what's going on in the world of gaming as it is now when so many of its readers are looking towards the future. The good news, though, is that CheatBook does manage to get the job done.

CheatBook's positives are, for the most part, what readers are expecting to see at this point. It's got an incredibly selection of older game cheats as well as a fair number of cheats for games that have come out in recent months. It's becoming more and more clear, though, that the stars of CheatBook are really the guides and hints for newer games. As the gaming world eschews the old-school types of cheats that were once so common, these guides are slowly taking their place. CheatBook is doing a good job keeping pace with what the market needs.

The downside, as you can imagine, is that those old-school cheats are getting much more rare. In fact, it's hard to say that CheatBook is bringing all that much new to the table in terms of actual cheats this month. Again, that's a combination of industry changes and market forces - but if you're looking to cheat at a game that came out very recently, you're going to have to hold tight for a bit. As always, CheatBook still doesn't have a lot of the deeper cuts from last month and it's going to take some time for all of them to show up.

If you are a fan of older games or you want to get hints for the latest hits, you'll be happy with this month's issue of CheatBook. While there's still some time to wait for this year's biggest games to come out, it's highly recommended that you check out some of the older games that have cheats in this month's issue. Not only are they are a great way to pass the time until the big releases, but some of these gems are fun to play even in light of everything that's coming out soon.
