Software Product Description

CintaNotes is a simple program for basic notes keeping that provides a convenient way to quickly store pieces of information that are collected from other documents or websites.

All you have to do is select the text to be stored and then press the CTRL+F12 hotkey on your keyboard to create a note. CintaNotes captures the text and uses the application title as the note's title.

Alternatively, you can copy/paste the text into the application and append it to the list of previous notes. You can optionally assign keyword tags that can be used to locate and identify notes at a later time.

An instant search feature quickly locates keywords within notes as you type them. Other features include merging of notes and support for automatic capturing of Internet links from IE.

Note: Registration required for advanced features.

"Re-visit of this software, which is now crippleware."

Pros: You can take notes, insert a link, insert tags, and remarks. The program is lightweight and the interface is nice.

Cons: The program is crippled. You now can only create 3 sections (tabs across the top), unless you pay over $30 dollars to upgrade, there is no password security in the free version and it still doesn't support embedding images in notes in any version. I haven't seen any new features that have been added, and since it is now crippled it doesn't hold much use for me personally. Note: FreewareFiles does mention that advanced features must be unlocked in the description, which I missed before downloading.

Other Thoughts: I understand people want to be paid to write software and have nothing negative to say about that. This program though isn't truly free, it has been crippled, since the last time I used it. If you use Windows, you might want to look into OneNote, which is free, supports images, drawing, etc. and can be used on multiple platforms.
