Perhaps you are used to having an alarm clock and may be even setting alarms on your cell phone. You can now extend that experience to your computer by installing Digital Alarm Clock. In addition to displaying a digital clock on your desktop, the program allows you to set alarms at specified times.

Setting the time you want an alarm to sound is easy. By default, the digital clock displays a small window on the top right part of the desktop, which shows the current date and time. If you want to set an alarm, right-click on the application and then click on Setting, which has three tabs: Alarm, Warning Call and Clock.

The Setting opens the Alarm tab first, which allows you to choose the hour and minute you want to set. When you click the Set Alarm button, you have the choice to either shut down computer or give a warning call at the specified time. The time you set appears at the top right corner of the application window.

When the time you set reaches, the alarm sounds and the application displays a pop-up window where you can either stop or erase the alarm.

In addition to setting an alarm at a specified time, you can let the application sound a warning every hour, which is the default setting. The program is also set to start with Windows and remain always on top by default, but you can change these settings.

The clock digits can appear in three different colors: red, blue or green. Although the clock comes only with the standard alarm sound, you can select your preferred WAV file. The applications context menu also allows you to set date and time.

Digital Alarm Clock requires administrator privileges to run.
