Software Product Description

Do you have personal files that you would like to keep away from prying eyes? You can save them in a folder and then lock the folder with Leo Folder Locker, a simple but powerful utility designed for Microsoft Windows operating systems. No one will manage to access the folder without your permission.

Leo Folder Locker installs in a breeze, creating its shortcut on the desktop for easy access. The software detects when you launch it for the first time, and you will need to press any key to access a new window where you will enter and confirm your new password. Please note that passwords are case sensitive.

You'll need to enter your recovery code, which is also case sensitive. You'll then see a screen that displays the username, password and recovery code. If the details are correct, you'll need to enter the recovery code and the program will save them before starting fully.

The new edition allows you to lock multiple folders by first creating a locker and then moving it wherever you want on your computer. The software actually locks the locker, effectively protecting the folders within it.

The software offers an attack protection feature to provide enhanced security. When someone enters a wrong password thrice, it enters Lock Down Mode where you must enter the correct password and recovery code to unlock it.

It also offers an even stronger option that is turned off by default because it can have serious consequences. Instead of the lock down feature, you can resort to Self Destruction feature. In this case, the program becomes unusable when a wrong password is entered thrice. Please note that this feature may result in irreversible damage.

You activate or deactivate these features by pressing appropriate numbers. From the welcome screen, enter 4 twice to enter Attack Protection Setting and 4 then 3 to get into Self Destruction Setting. In each instance, entering 1 turns on the feature while pressing 2 turns it off. Pressing 3 takes you back after making the required configuration.

The new edition of Leo Folder Locker has been rewritten from scratch based on a completely new architecture that provides more features and improved security. However, it still does not provide data encryption support. It simply locks your folder to prevent unauthorized access.
