PS Hot Launch VVL is a perfect alternative to the Start menu and the Quick Launch panel.

Pros: You can set it up so that menu appears by simply hovering over the icon in the system trey. You can assign hotkeys to just about anything. Very useful and easy.

Cons: None.

Other Thoughts: Still works on Win10 x64, after all these years.
