Software Product Description

Passenger Train Simulator, as its name indicates, is a simulation game where the player takes the role of the locomotive engineer or train driver to control the trains. The player is responsible for several passenger trains that go to different destinations.

You need to ensure the trains get to their respective destinations in time. There are also stop positions where you need to fully stop the trains. You have to be as careful as if you were maneuvering a real train. For example, driving at high speeds around bends can easily lead to derailment.

The left part of the user interface displays different types of information. You will see your progress, distance covered, time taken and current speed. You will also see your throttle and brake in miles per hour.

The interface allows you to view the trains from different positions. Depending on where you are, you will see the front, back or side of the trains, and you must always ensure you are in control. You must know how to balance your throttling and breaking forces so as not to lose balance and cause an accident.

You will drive in different weather conditions and at different times. The tracks will also ensure the game remains engaging to the end.

You can control your game using gamepad, joystick or keyboard and mouse. If you need some help, just press F1.

"Is this entertaining??"

Pros: Does what it is supposed to do. Graphics and controls all work.

Cons: Promotional for their other games. Puts other links etc into your system. Boring gameplay. Unforgiving. Start from the beginnning if a minor error occurs in your gameplay.

Other Thoughts: Wouldn't bother if you are not into this sort of thing.
