Your security and privacy are critical when you use your computer in the modern world, especially when you connect to the Internet. SaferTech Secure Browser integrates a security management console that helps you stay safe online.

Using SaferTech Secure Browser

When we launched the browser after its installation, it displayed a pop-up message telling us to use the Security & Privacy Center to enhance our security. The browser had automatically imported bookmarks from Google Chrome.

We accessed the Security and Privacy Center by clicking the padlock icon on the upper right corner of the browser window. It opened a page that displayed various security and privacy options in tabs, some of which were already turned on while others were deactivated. We got more details about each option by clicking the "info" icon on its lower right corner.

The anti-virus feature automatically detected whether we had an anti-virus program installed and whether it was activated. When we deactivated the antivirus service, the software showed that it was off, and clicking the button marked "off" opened the system and security action center so that we could turn on the service and make necessary updates. Once we had made the required changes and clicked the button in the browser, it turned on and changed color from red to green.

The Extension Sandbox only allowed the installation of known and trusted extensions and plug-ins. Nowadays many extensions and plug-ins install automatically and compromise security. The HTTPS encryption feature rewrote HTTP requests and encrypted communications with major websites.

Preventing Flash plug-in based content from running did not only enhance our security but also reduced latency and power consumption. Other features that we used to enhance our security included adblock, safe browsing, do not track, private browsing and privacy cleaner.

Conclusion

Web browsers create a major avenue for malicious people and content to get into computers. SaferTech Secure Browser integrates security and privacy tools that help users stay safe online even when they do not have technical skills. The Security and Privacy Center includes features that you simply turn on by making single clicks. The Chromium-based web browser is fast and automatically imports bookmarks from Google Chrome. It is compatible with all Windows operating systems from Windows XP.
