SageThumbs 2.0.0.23

Pros:

For me it does exactly what it advertised. I can view all of the image files on my computer by their thumbnail. Since I have an enormous amount of various images and graphics stored on my computer, and many of those are in .psd format, I was sick of having to open every .psd file just to see if it was a file I would want. I am so excited that I can now brows my thumbnails and know that I am not missing anything.

Cons:

Well, for some reason Chrome has it as an incompatible program, although I have never had any issues with it and I've had it for a few weeks now. I don't know why.

Other Thoughts:

If you are like me and viewing pages of many thumbnail images and you are used to not seeing the .psd ones, you will need to train your brain to remember that you can now see them because more than once I have opened up a .psd file thinking it was just a .png when I only wanted a quick look at it. Then I had to wait for Photoshop to open and for the image to load in Photoshop...This is not a problem with the program, but just one of those "duuuuhhh" moments when you kick yourself. If you work wit various graphics all day I think you know what I'm talking about. LOL!

"Needs little improvement, works fine for intended usage"

by: Calcatian

SageThumbs 2.0.0.23

2017-05-09

Pros:

this tool is helpful for gfx and media professionals and photographers as it can save a lot of time by reducing guesswork no serious bug discovered so far

Cons:

the word "64bit" should be removed from its identity submenu as x64 has now become the mainstream standard for desktop OSes memory usage should be more optimized

Other Thoughts:

there should be an option to NOT use a submenu structure and directly use the context menu for displaying info

"One Click Too Many...Locks Up"

by: ITMan

SageThumbs 2.0.0.16

Pros:

Installs fine.

Cons:

Locks up my File Manager. One click too many.

Other Thoughts:

This is not a replacement for the old and great PicaView program if that's what you're looking for. In PicaView all you needed to do was right click on any graphic file and everything was right there. In this one, you must right click then click again on their Sage menu to get your options (two clicks for every file). This slows down user time if you wanted to quickly check out multiple unknown files. PicaView allowed you, by only one click, to very quickly go from one file to another to another to another. Sage needs to take out that unnecessary menu within the context menu to make this desirable. Redundant.
Also, it doesn't work very well with certain File Managers. Freezes every time.
