ID-Blaster Plus will destroy tracking tactics by randomizing GUID/Unique ID numbers found on your PC.

In Windows, many applications have something called a "product ID number", a "GUID" or a "Unique ID number". This number may be the same throughout Internet Explorer, Windows Media Player - even the operating system itself. Since this number nevers changes, it would be the PERFECT way a malicious person or even an advertising company could track your habits - perhaps through a malicious website ActiveX control, or Java applet.

Why not just delete it?
In this case, you would have a constant ID of nothing - and given the small number of people that might also have that "null" value, it could still be used to track you.

ID-Blaster Plus works by changing these ID numbers frequently, destroying tracking tactics using these numbers. ID-Blaster can run from the system tray, using very little resources, and constantly protect you in the background.

FreewareFiles tested ID-Blaster Plus 2.0 on 2006-02-16 using leading antivirus scanners and found it 100% Clean. It does not contain any form of malware, spyware, viruses, trojans, etc. We will re-test each updated version and remove the award as well as the program if found infected.

Other Thoughts: Found this here, downloaded it , think it's cool! Great software, does it's stuff.But don't forget to write your numbers down and keep them in a safe place, as it suggests.If for some reason your PC messes up, just do the usual clean reformat/reinstall, it's not a problem or /O/S,hard drive destroying software.It is as good as is stated.Good means to hide your WIN GUI ID...It's a wonde it hasn't been pulled offline by Microsoft or google yet...Guess there must be a way we're not told of how you can get around it, eh?
