Microsoft Zune Software 4.7

Other Thoughts: I have tested Zune because I loved its GUI and Windows 7 integration, but lo and behold: It doesn't read already stored metadata. Most of my music library was updated manually with edited covers and info, using Songbird and MP3Tag. Open source players have no problem reading such metadata, yet microsoft's products simply can't recognize it, an issue that has puzzled many a music enthusiast in web-forums. Neither Windows Media Player, Windows Media Center, nor Zune recognize metadata easily checked by iTunes, Songbird, or even Winamp. As long as this endures, and let's face it, Microsoft never addresses such things, Zune is a graphically-magnificent one-track listener to test new songs.Was this review helpful? 47 out of 91 users found this review helpful.
