Software Product Description

Hard disks tend to get fragmented after being used for some time, which affects the read speed because a computer may need to read a file from different physical locations. Microsoft Windows ships with a defragmenting utility to rearrange file so they occupy contiguous space. However, the utility has its limitations, and you may need something more versatile, which is where Defraggler Portable comes in handy. The program helps you to defragment your system quickly and easily. You can use it to defragment individual files or entire hard drives.

Defraggler Portable assembles and organizes fragmented files, enabling your computer to perform faster. Apart from defragmenting files, you can also use the software to defragment free space. This means it will help you to prevent defragmentation before it happens.

You can customize the defragmenter to work as you want. You can choose the files, folders or drives you want to defragment. Alternatively, you may simply use the default settings. This flexibility makes the program suitable for both advanced users and novices.

The program allows you to schedule defragmentation to automatically run monthly, weekly or daily at specified times. You can let it defragment your computer while you are sleeping so that you use a faster PC when you wake up.

The defragmenter uses the same technique that Windows uses to read and write files. You do not have to worry about damaging your files.

Defraggler Portable supports both FAT32 and NTFS systems, and it works with SSDs and HDDs. The software comes in three versions to suit different needs and users, with the free version being optimized for hard disks.

Pros: None

Cons: None

Other Thoughts: I still don't get why if I unzip , the Boot time defrag option is deactivated;
Whereas, if I just Run it, Boot time option is available.
