GSN SMS Notifier is an application that alerts you about new e-mails via SMS, directly to your cell phone. SMS delivery can be done via ICQ (for free) or Skype. Currently supported e-mail types are Gmail and POP3. GSN is FREEWARE.

Note: If you´re connected to ICQ using the same UIN that GSN is using, you´ll get disconnected while GSN is sending SMSes. To solve this issue, you can open another ICQ account for GSN.

Requires: Microsoft .NET Framework 2.0.

What's New in version 0.0.1.8:

This version adds support for sending the SMS messages via Skype (instead of ICQ). Note that Skype requires Skype Credits for sending SMS messages.

FreewareFiles tested GSN SMS Notifier 0.0.1.8 on 2009-01-17 using leading antivirus scanners and found it 100% Clean. It does not contain any form of malware, spyware, viruses, trojans, etc. We will re-test each updated version and remove the award as well as the program if found infected.

Other Thoughts: You need to have an ICQ account for this program to 'supposedly' work. I entered all the details but never managed to get it to work. Nice idea, shame it doesn't work.
