Mote-Keys is a free and open source tool designed to provide an easy-to-use alternative for catching messages from WinLIRC and converting them into virtual keypresses on your pc (windows only). Mote-Keys is great for using a homeade receiver with WinLIRC to control your pc, home theater, media pc, gaming pc, and more.

Mote-Keys is only designed to work along-side WinLIRC. WinLIRC in a windows equivalent to LIRC and is made to receive and transmit ir signals. You can find out more about and download WinLIRC here: http://winlirc.sourceforge.net/.
