FreewareFiles tested PDF Split and Merge 2.2.1 on 2010-11-26 using leading antivirus scanners and found it 100% Clean. It does not contain any form of malware, spyware, viruses, trojans, etc. We will re-test each updated version and remove the award as well as the program if found infected.

Pros: It worked quickly and beautifully!! Also, one of the few applications that make the assumption that I'll want to save the outputs in the same directory as the source document!! Thank You!!

Cons: Not much; the interface is a little odd, as others have noted, but I didn't have any confusion about what to do.

Other Thoughts: I had a large PDF that needed to be split at irregular places. It had a field in the "Split Documents" page which said "Enter pages where you want the document split", with no clues about input format, but a comma-separated list of pages worked perfectly.
