Recuva (pronounced "recover") is a freeware Windows utility to restore files that have been accidentally deleted from your computer. This includes files emptied from the Recycle bin as well as images and other files that have been deleted by user error from digital camera memory cards or MP3 players. It will even bring back files that have been deleted by bugs, crashes and viruses!

What´s New in version 1.42.544:

Re-architected deep scan algorithm for JPGs and PNGs.
Improved file searching on Windows 2008 R2.
Improved support for Windows 8.
Added Export file list feature.
Improved keyboard navigation support.
Fixed rare crash on XP during FAT scan.
Improved memory usage for high volume drives.
Minor bug fixes.

FreewareFiles tested Recuva 1.42.544 on 2011-12-01 using leading antivirus scanners and found it 100% Clean. It does not contain any form of malware, spyware, viruses, trojans, etc. We will re-test each updated version and remove the award as well as the program if found infected.

Pros: This program helped me to recover hundreds of lost family photos that were erased by mistake. I am incredibly grateful for this free software tool! Thank you so much. This program was easy to use and very, very helpful! Five stars.
