"Good"
by: Jesus Saves!!

Other Thoughts: Not bad for beginner programmers, however serious developers may have a hard time with this. Not all headers and libraries are inluded. It's very nice to have a resource editor, but this one doesn't have one. You can download ResEd though which works well.

Pelles C is a lot better for beginners, but it's only for C, not C++. For C++, I recommend Visual Studio C++ 2005 or 2008 Express Edition with the Microsoft Windows SDK.

Other Thoughts: Dev-C++ is great! It beats the pants off the ludicrously expensive Microsoft compiler.

"Great"

Other Thoughts: Love it, the only reason I gave it a 4 and not a 5 is that you can only make windows aplications, not pure dos ones.

"Dev-C++"

Other Thoughts: Too bad you cant rate this program as a 10 :( oh well.. 5 will do.. This compiler is set up a lot like MSVisual C++ compiler.. only it doesnt have all those Microsoft extras that waste space sitting lingering on your valuble hard drive...
The Library is full of useful headerfiles for whatever you may need to program..
easy to use..
and it alows you to have mulitple files open, with tabs on the top so you can quick switch to the file you want to review..
it shows you a list of all your classes, functions, varibles, ect. and makes an expandable tree for quick verible reffreance..
it also remembers your functions, and while you type the function name, it will show you what attributes are in that function... it has diffrent themes you can program in to get you comfortable.. (XP, GNOME, Standard)
and it will add icons to your .exe file...

all in all.. i love it.. and i recomend it to all..
