 | "Decent" I rate this a 3 for now.
The interface is ok, but scanning takes forever. It is OK to increase the amount of mem used, or have an adjustable slider so the user can select how much mem to use in order to speed up scan times.
In addition, it shows threats found, but is confusing about how to remove them, as opposed to other competing programs such as AVG?
Seems to have pretty good definition sets & updates. Just needs to be easier to remove the threats found, & REALLY needs to be FASTER.
Until then, I rate this a 3.

 | "Very good" Good for a secondary scanner for scanning files. Signature database seems to be updated frequently. Full scan took a long time, but can't really complain as it's free.

 | "v- 0.93" It's good
Good scan time, though, unless one changes the file types list, it has only one scan type, I'd consider 'deep'.
Its resource usage is good for this category of program.
Its 'scanner priority' is set to low (default) but can be set to 'normal' at Configure> Advanced tab.
If you don't want it to be added to autostartup --- therefore, no tray icon , uncheck the auto updates (basically, all boxed under Preferences> Internet Updates tab) and update manually.
So, if you're looking for a decent, secondary, malware database/scanner, this is good.
I'd give it a nod over A-Squared AV mainly because it uses far less RAM draw and doesn't embed a Services process --- and let's face it , if one's intent is a secondary usage, I'd want the barest impact I could find with good speed, database and updates.
(bytheway, I say 'as a secondary' to an anti-malware program with real-time scan ability/feature).
One thing, though, on 2kpro, I 'asked for'(okayed) the Explorer right-click context menu feature, yet I don't see it?

 | "I like it" Slow but powerful. No real-time scan but a very large database and good rate of development. I think in the next years it will be on top of commercial products.

 | "Good 'n SLOW" Actually I used ClamAV to build my own antivirus, but I respected to the maker of ClamWin too, I copy some code for graphical interfaces for my antivirus and made some enhancements of scanning performance (it's faster than ClamWin),...
Oh ya, I think it will be better if you provide real time protection options and make it faster scanning than now...
that's it, thanks

 | "OK for a freebie" This product touts high detection rates but can't verify yet. Nice to
have for back-up and will scan in
safe mode. Best of all it's FREE!
The down side is a VERY S L O W
SCAN!! It takes 6 Hrs on my computer!
Remember it is on demand only-there
is no real time shield.
Forgot to mention that you can integrate it with SpywareTerminator

 | "good" 1baddude, ClamWin offers a fairly good detection, only lacking of online scanner that made many people go away. You are annoyingly stupid for not turning off AVG automatic daily scan. Its your stupidity that caused the annoyance. Don't blame the program.

 | "ok" This is ok but not a complete program and bloatware for what it really does. AVG av runs automatic daily scans and is most annoying. Avast is the best complete av program you can get for free.

 | "Need a Email-Scanner" Needs a email-scanner, because you get viruses in email messages. I'd suggest downloading AVG instead

 | "Needs a real-time scanner !" The fact that Clamwin does not include an on-access real-time scanner, makes ppl go the other way.
Besides this it`s a really good scanner.
