i agree with everyone here - it's a top notch audio editor, small, portable, now it even let you do beatslicing (no need for Recycle :P), comfortable interface, the VST support is superb - and it's free.
Freeware Files should definitely make it an editor pick!

Look at the 'weight' og it. It is stunning, and does things that were available only in payware applications. The Wavosaur is skinnable and manages VST effects. The forum site worths a click. A+

I just download Wavosaur: very interesting program: VST, ASIO support. Audio editing is perfect and very intuitive. Zoom functions are rapid and simple (with mousewheel). I m surprised wavosaur is still freeware with all these features.
I noted 5 for all these reasons and for another simple one: I use it now.
Very good job and thanks to share this soft.

I really like this thing! Wavepad, audacity, Soliton, AudioEditor, Anvil, Psycle...I've tried them all. Garbage! Everyone of them. Waveasour crushes them all. Realtime effect editing, on the fly cut/paste. It's great, and free too!
Two things I've found that I don't like are these: about 2/3 of the vst effects/instruments I've found don't work. Then again, I'm all about some free, so that could be it. Anyway, there are enough alternates to work around this. The second thing is when saving any effect chains/settings the program doesn't recognize it's own saved files. Again, it could be me. I'm an idiot. However, the plus side far out weighs the negative. So, I gave it a 5.
Get the manual, too. Very helpful. So are the online tutorials. BEWARE, narrator is German: meaning English is not her native language.
At least try this thing if you want to edit sound files. I doubt you could find one much better even if you paid for it.

This soft is absolutly incredible. Very usefull, lot's of good features. Volume automation is a very interresting idea, and it works very well. Asio & VST support are really useful.
In conclusion I use it now regularly.

I just discover it: impressive. Loop and marker features are excellent. I rated 5/5 for these incredible features for slincing beats.
VST support in rack is very useful, and ASIO support is very stable with my sound card (MOTU 828 MKII).
I use it in my audio studio (electo) to record voices and create my own loop.
Congratulation guys for this job, finally the most and useful free audio editor I have seen.

"Absolute buggy rubbish"
I donwloaded this with intention of recording a streaming audio radio broadcast. I tested the program on samples first, it seemed to work. When I recorded the actual stream & saved the project file , it wouldnt play through the program or any other player- total waste of 2 jours.
