"A nice program"
Openoffice is very good at writing. The word processor is nice, the spreadsheet I played a little while with before is nice, the drawing program is also nice. The openoffice Math however stinks and should be redone. The formula editor should be better gui. by: mts | 4 | 2009-11-20 |

"The Best free office pack offered out ther"
This is the best free office package out there in my opinion. It is compatible even comparable to MSoffice. Not to mention it will open msoffice files and allow you to work with them as well. And you can send your files to your friends or colleges that do use MSoffice by saving it as a rich text as a word file or even html, all of witch MSoffice will open. I would imagine that eventually the business community will jump on this eventually. It would be a great cost saver to any business. Sun does update this software frequently to ensure its options remain compatible. And they add additional options every once in a while as well. My self I much prefer this application over the MSoffice sweat that costs hundreds of dollars. by: Mintner | 5 | 2009-10-23 |

"Date hassle"
I use Calc as my genealogy base as it is better than you know what.
However, two niggles
1, The ability to put a short line in cells was removed in OP3
2. When I enter years it keeps defaulting to xx/xx/1905
Still worth 5 though!! by: Davo | 5 | 2009-08-22 |

"That's not right"
The heading says RC1. The download for this RC is at the top of the page, as usual. The link that says 3.1.0 Final, about the middle of the page, is 3.1.0 final. by: bxf | 4 | 2009-08-10 |

"Misleading version name"
While I give 5 to this excelent office program the way it is listed here is misleading as this is not 3.1.0 final but it is actually release candidate 2, so it's still in the test stages. by: Rotten138 | 5 | 2009-05-05 |

"My number 1"
I just love Sun! They really created a multipurpose tool that sooner or later will replace the Office. I do really hope there will soon be MS Project, and Visio-like suits, for I totally need them. All the rest is just great by: Alex | 4 | 2009-03-13 |

"Perfect!"

"Openoffice"
I think Peebles name should be Anita dude it is fine the way it is I would give it a 6 if I could. by: Cibomatto2002 | 5 | 2009-01-27 |

"Good!"
Pros:
- Free
- Easy to use
- Powerful
Cons:
- Needs to be able to save settings to a .ini file (who wants to redo all those settings?)
- Needs to be portable
- Needs MS Office 2007 support (reading)
- Needs to stop nagging users for name, registration (Who really registers these days) etc
- Needs to have a barebones version, eliminating all languages except the one that it is installed under, & make it easier to select/deselect what to install

"Updated URL"
The link has been updated to the English language version. by: Admin | 5 | 2008-12-25 |

"Language"
This appears to be a Spanish version.
I've got the suit (in English) on another system and it is excellent.
It would be helpful if the language was made clear before download. by: Jon | 3 | 2008-12-24 |
