Software Product Description

Intel Single Event API is a special tool for translating itt_notify calls into different operating system environments. You can use it to analyze the performance or memory of C and C++ applications under various operating systems, including Windows, OSX, Linux and Android.

You can compile your code either manually or automatically and see it in different views, including:

  • Chrome://tracing viewer
  • GraphViz
  • Windows Performance Analyzer
  • MAC XCode Instruments
  • QtCreator Profiler
  • Visual Studio DGML

Once you have instrumented your code with itt_notify, the steps you take to load it up depend on your operating system. The tasks and functions you can perform also depend on the operating system or desired viewer. For example, Windows Performance Analyzer provides correlation with all system metrics from over 600 providers. However, it only supports immediate tasks, counters and markers.

Once you have downloaded the Intel Single Event API source code, you will build up everything with python ./ found in the root folder.
