CHANGELOG

What's New in version 6.3.2:

  • Fixed an issue where CPU usage would rise really high for those running Java 7.

What's New in version 6.3.1:

New Features:

  • Multi-Snippet Capture! A feature in the very old version of Snipping Tool++ has been brought back and improved! Now you can select multiple regions in the snippet overlay by dragging a box and pressing [Spacebar]. Once you have selected all the regions you want, press [Enter] and they will be stitched together in a single image and uploaded or saved.

General Improvements:

  • The max heap size has been removed. This should give better performance to individuals with higher resolution monitors.
  • A pixel grid has been added to the magnifier when at the maximum 2 zoom levels.

Bug Fixes:

  • Magnifier now correctly refreshes what you see as you zoom.
  • A couple more fixes to memory issues.
  • Fixed a null editor error that some users would experience.

What's New in version 6.3.0:

New Features:

  • Customizeable Hotkey Support! - Now you can customize the hotkeys for your own personal needs.

General Improvements:

  • Improved the Editor keybinds, they shouldn't be as finicky anymore and using CTRL+C in the Editor should only make a single copy and not multiple.

Bug Fixes:

  • Fixed a major memory issue that would cause Snipping Tool++ to eventually use up to 500mb of RAM or more. This has been addressed, the tool shouldn't use more than 150mb and most of that is just allocated memory for the JVM that's not actually being used
  • Fixed the donate link on the donate button in the task trays right click menu
  • Fixed an issue that was causing the upload finished ding to not play at the correct time
  • Fixed a bounds issue when updating the overlay screenshot with middle mouse click
  • Fixed some grammar issues in the keysets help page
