"humble looks, but fast & powerful"

After installation it looks humble. But with a little effort, it can look anything you want. But even if you're too lazy to invest all the time to set it up to your needs, it's still strongly recommended. Because foobar is the most powerful open source audio player. It has such a small system foot print, yet is so fast. The library management is awesome, as it detects and adopts to any externel changes of the music library within seconds. If you need a bit more look & feel, install UI columns component for foobar and then make changes you need. But if you're still lazy, there are ready-made configuration files for UI columns offered by users in the foobar forum. Try it! Even if it looks too humble and confusing at first. This player is suberb! It also has the best native support for gapless playback. Other players like Winamp or iTunes need a plugin for that or do pseudo-gapless playback by using proprietary techniques that only work with those players themselves (as for iTunes which actually modifies the tags of the files in order to do that...). |
