Pros: works fine in win vista not sure about win 7.
Cons: won't uninstall in windows 8. (can be disabled in win services) system tray icon removed in windows 8 replaced with "white flag system tray icon"(labeled as action center in win8). white flag icon in system tray does not automatically show alerts in win 8 defender have to manually check if scans, update definitions, etc.
Other Thoughts: this software worked fine on win vista however on win 8 it won't install because ms has preinstalled a version of this software that can't be uninstalled and went back to the win defender name win 8 has also dropped the system tray icon and uses the "white flag" icon which is part of the windows action center which for me has not pop up any warnings for me to scan or show me i have outdated definitions i have to stop what i am doing and highlight the white flag icon by manually dragging my mouse to it to see if i need to do anything.so i think i'm going to see if i can fine another solution maybe download a different av an or firewall.
