To connect to another computer just run TeamViewer on both machines without the need of an installation procedure. With the first start automatic partner IDs are generated on both computers. Just enter your partner´s ID into TeamViewer and the connection is established immediately. With many thousand users worldwide TeamViewer is a standard tool to give support and assistance to people in remote locations.

The software can also be used for presentations, where you can show your own desktop to a partner, e.g. to present a software solution. TeamViewer also is VNC compatible and offers secure, encrypted data transfer to maximize security.

TeamViewer is absolutely FREE for personal, non-commercial use.

This program is simply great!. I tested alternatives as ultravnc and tightvnc. They worked, but needing port forwarding in the router over the internet to work and had no encryption. I never got the encryption plugin in ultravnc to work. After seeing how simple yet effective TeamViewer worked, I wondered why other developers make their programs so limited and complicated to use. You can even connect to IP adresses in TeamViewer (This is not obvious in the user interface). Just go to Extra->Options->General and enable LAN connections. Both computers must also be running the full version of TeamViewer. A bad point is that it leaves junk in your temp directory, if you choose to run it without installing it. But it is still the best remote desktop program I have ever used. Recommended!
